Chitwan Jungle Safari

Chitwan National Park, Sauraha · Lumbini

"Track rhinos and (rarely) Bengal tigers in Nepal's oldest national park — by jeep, canoe, and on foot"

Chitwan National Park is Nepal's most accessible wildlife experience and a UNESCO World Heritage site. Most travelers stay in Sauraha for 2-3 nights with mixed activities: jeep safari, canoe ride on the Rapti River, jungle walk, Tharu cultural show, and elephant breeding center visit. The park has ~700 one-horned rhinos (likely to see at least one), 120+ Bengal tigers (rarely seen), gharial crocodiles, sloth bears, and 500+ bird species. October-March is the best wildlife viewing season.
